Just some more pics of the two cars at the bodyshop last weekend..

Trueno welcoming the Levin back into the world!

 The first time the Levin had seen road and sunshine in a few weeks...

 

 

 ...and the last time my Trueno will see either for a while too...

Another day @ the Shop.....

I'm taking my time to fit the bumpers and skirts and basically line everything up as good as possible, and Its coming together now! Still a few window trims and seals etc to get fitted during the week.

I racked up a couple of tyres yesterday on the SSR's, 185/50/14 A539's on the front and some 185/55/14 fz300 on the rear.

hope ya'll like, but I spose the fresh paint etc will have to been seen for its full effect!?

Can anyone out there in 86 blog-land tell me if the original 86 "corolla Levin" boot decals can be got ?  

Random Snap, getting there...

After work today I put the front back together.We buffed up the bumper lenses and they now fit in well with the rest of the new lamp! I just love the combination of late and early parts on Levin's...

the bonnet still needs some adjusting.....

Instead of re-using the old philps head self tappers to hold on the early splitter I picked up 

a set of  black Anodized bike faring bolts/washers ,I reckon there a nice touch to the bumper, 

anywayz..... loads MoAr got done , I'll get some pic's up Saturday!

Levin resto Update**

I started putting the car back together today.....
New lamps in, lots of rubber seals and plastic trims back on ,
also the doors, bonnet and boot lid are back in place.
Still  a good bit to do next week....

Here's all the satin black bits in the oven,
skirts, bumpers and headlamp trims...

 Fresh Lamp on fresh paint hhhmmmmmmm

After the paint was flicked and buffed the finish turned out Super!!!!

My Levin resto UPDATE

Well its taking a couple of weeks longer than I expected,
but we're getting there with my Levin.
A few pics of the car in fresh paint....

At the moment the mirrors and boot lid still have to be sprayed , after that the whole car will get buffed up before I fit all the new lamps and satin black bumpers

there was 4 spots of rust where the boot seal goes down , 
I posted two pic's of before we cut out the rusty metal and here is them two repaired with new metal and being sanded down..

but there is still two more spots on the other side that we just cut out tonight...

the rest is being sanded down....

while sanding I found a small spot on the back panel and a nasty little bit behind where the ecu would be, but all in not too bad for a 25 y/o shell!!?
so them two bits will be sorted now as well.

Fresh Lamp !**

This one is especially for Dave , as he has a small fetish for Lamp!
New red lines and sidelights to complement the new paint on the Levin....

SSR Star Formula's

...Are back from blasting and powder coating , custom dark champagne metallic ftw . I Think it will complement the pepper white. anyways the rims should be back soon with the fresh bolts ready for bolting together.

Should have delivery of fresh lamp for the Levin  tomorrow!!!!
